Advertising images constitute an essential component of collections at the Stenay Beer Museum. The extraordinary variety and depth of this iconic library is testament to the imagination shown by businesses and the creativity of illustrators for over 150 years. Beer, one of the oldest drinks invented by man, is depicted as it was perceived by those who made it, as well as through the eyes of artists and graphic artists whose skills they needed. Bringing together a selection of documents from the 500 in storage, this exercise was conducted for the purposes of the exhibition organised by the Meuse Museums Conservation department.
